Playing Sudoku Modus
Which modes can I play?
Seven: Classic, Killer, Jigsaw, 16×16, Twin, Samurai and Kids. Each has its own rules, and most have levels from Relax to Professional.
How do hints work?
A hint points you to the next step and explains why it works, instead of simply filling in the answer.
What are keys?
A key starts a new game. Free keys refill over time, and the app shows when the next one arrives. With Modus Pro your keys are unlimited.
What is a streak, and what does a Streak Freeze do?
Your streak counts the days in a row on which you finish at least one game. A Streak Freeze protects it on a day you miss; you can keep up to three.
How do leagues work?
Each week you collect XP in a group of 30 players. The best move up to the next league. There are ten, from Wood to Bismuth.
Can I play offline?
Classic and Kids can start offline. Friends and leagues need an internet connection.
Your account
Do I need an account?
No, you can start as a guest. An account keeps your progress safe on a new phone and is needed for friends, leagues and purchases.
How do I keep my progress with an account?
Open your profile and continue with Apple, Google or your email address. Your guest progress comes with you.
How do I change my name or username?
Open Settings, then Account. You can change your name and your username there.
How do I find friends?
Search by username under Find your friends, or show your QR code and let a friend scan it.
I can’t get into my account.
Write to support@sudokumodus.com from the address you signed up with, or tell us your username. We will help you get back in.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile, the gear, Account, Delete account. The Delete account page explains what is deleted and how to ask without the app.
Modus Pro and purchases
What is Modus Pro?
Modus Pro gives you unlimited keys, no ads, special modes and more hints. It does not affect your league ranking and does not increase rewards.
Are there ads?
Without Modus Pro the app shows ads, and you can watch optional ones for rewards. Modus Pro turns ads off.
How do I cancel Modus Pro?
Modus Pro is billed by the App Store or Google Play and does not stop on its own. Cancel it in your store’s subscription settings; deleting the app or your account does not cancel it.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases go through Apple or Google, and so do refunds: on iPhone at reportaproblem.apple.com, on Android in your Google Play order history.
My purchase is missing on a new phone.
Sign in with the same account and tap Restore Purchase in the app’s subscription settings. A purchase made as a guest cannot be restored.
